A VISION FOR GREAT GOLF

A Golf Experience — Redefined.

Under the guidance of Jay Blasi, the designer who crafted the likes of Chambers Bay, Poppy Ridge, SentryWorld and others, Crooked Water has emerged from the grounds of Burl Oaks. Blasi’s vision for golf is both grand and majestic, fun and engaging—that’s what you receive as a member of Crooked Water.

About Jay Blasi:

Today’s Golfer named him among the “next superstar architects” of the game, and his recent reinvention of California’s Poppy Ridge in California has won accolades in the media. But Blasi’s recent attention is just the end result of a career in golf design, starting with his work for Robert Trent Jones II in 2000 before founding his own firm in 2012.

While his work on projects like SentryWorld and Chambers Bay, both of which have held significant professional championships, demonstrates his design acumen, Blasi is often found rebuilding projects like Burl Oaks, which has emerged as a new course under the Crooked Water banner.

Blasi’s design work at Crooked Water is reflective of his vision that a great routing and use of natural landforms results in a compelling experience for the golfer.

“The goal that I would have is that if a golfer comes off the golf course, I would love to hear three adjectives come out of their mouth—that was a ton of fun, that was really unique and that was really beautiful.”

Golf for everyone

After more than five decades as Burl Oaks Golf Club, designer Jay Blasi has transformed the club’s golf offerings to such an extent that it was reborn as Crooked Water. His breathtaking transformation includes a complete renovation of the 18-hole golf course, the addition of a 9-hole short course, and a world-class practice ground.

Holes on the course and the practice ground will open to members in 2026, with a full opening of all golf services in 2027.
